Bridge Together are looking for caring and compassionate individuals who want to make a difference to the lives of others.
The position is subject to successful enhanced DBS (Disclosing and Barring Service) and Right to Work checks. A clean driving licence and relevant insurance is needed for befriending.
Purpose of the Role
To work under the direct instruction of management and/or the session leader, usually within a group based at Newark Orchard School but often out in the community
To run activities and games within group sessions, liaise with and communicate with parents, administer any necessary medicine, manage behaviour and any care needs and adhere to Bridge Together policies and principles at all times
To support children and young people, including those identified as having severe learning difficulties and those with challenging behaviour in a range of different situations and settings
To understand, promote and achieve the highest possible quality of life for service users
To promote users interests and protect them from harm
To promote inclusion, social interaction and independence
